About Ashley

My journey to becoming a counselor was not immediately clear, but it has been profoundly influenced by my experiences as a client and my desire to support others. As a teenager, my first encounter with counseling opened my eyes to the importance of having someone present to help navigate difficult emotions and life circumstances.

A pivotal moment in my path occurred while volunteering in Mozambique, where I witnessed incredible resilience and joy in people facing significant challenges. This experience, along with my time living abroad, deepened my understanding of diverse cultures and the unique perspectives they bring. It prompted me to return to the States and pursue graduate training in mental health counseling, fueled by a commitment to understanding and helping others find their strength.

In my practice, I focus on women’s issues while addressing a range of concerns, including anxiety, depression, trauma, and life transitions. I work with women navigating various stages of life—college, early career, marriage, parenting, fertility challenges, and loss. I believe in the power of resilience and am dedicated to empowering clients to tap into their inner strengths as they work toward personal growth.

My perspective is shaped by my diverse experiences as a student, athlete, wife, and mother. Navigating the challenges of motherhood with young children has deepened my understanding of balance and perseverance. When I’m not counseling, you’ll find me spending time with my husband and children, enjoying the outdoors, or unwinding in fitness classes. These experiences enrich my life and enhance my empathy for the struggles my clients face.

I am committed to creating a supportive environment for clients on their healing journeys. While perfection is not the goal, I firmly believe that individuals can overcome challenges and foster growth. Life encompasses both difficult and beautiful moments, and together, we can hold space for both as you forge a new path forward.
